This is a project I have been thinking of for near two years and after playing around with barrels since 2016 I finally took the chance on a rather pricey project.
Rye barrel stored laoshan black tea will come in two batch, the first batch here will be light in storage. The second will come out later and will have a completely different profile. This is the third batch, it's had the most time away from the barrel stored and then put into a container with vanilla beans and red sandalwood.
This is the last planned laoshan barrel project as of now. High possibility of more to come due to the reception received!

Whoa, this has a lot going on! Never had a tea with sandalwood in it, thankfully the taste is subtler than the aroma. Really happy to have tried this.
