Star of Menghai was one of the shou that I enjoyed early on because of how smooth and mellow it is.
The 2005 is near impossible to find for a price that would be reasonable and the 2006 is quite a find in itself.
This should serve not only as an educational piece for many, but a treat from me to you as you use boiling water and hit either one of these. There is a sense of harmony between the blend, the fermentation process, and the dry storage these have gone through to retain the original aromatics that the leaf is destined for in my opinion; this also allows it to be what I will call a 'graceful shou', something unique indeed.
