Durian Scented Tea from Indonesia

Java Spirit is a black tea with extreme texture. The first steep for me on my first try was almost like biting into warm pudding or moist cake. The flavor is robust dark red fruits with that signature fully oxidized black tea note taking a back seat. The lasting flavor from the durian scenting sticks around in the mouth along with the overall texture piece creating an extremely enjoyable after sip experience.

Simpang is an oolong. The funkiest of the bunch in ways that can only be described as an incredible blunder of flavor and aroma. It's like a warm honey elixir with this really bizzare almond extract and something in the background that is probably Durian but I really just have flashes of soursop in my head. This is my favorite of the batch to such a large degree on the uniqueness that I set aside a large chunk to age instead of sell so that's why you may see it sold out quickly.

Silver Needle white tea: Interestingly enough, I think the scenting did not stick as much on this which is probably a blessing in disguise as this silver needle was already a bit meaty and warm in flavor/experience. A pretty hearty white tea in the cup without a herbaceous punch that many might have. Subtle to a degree and lots of potential. I've only used boiling water on it and still have plenty of experimenting to do.

Yellow is the most sold Indonesian tea in the shop and it's also now durian scented!

The two green teas are Green Heart and Long Green. The heart from my tasting is probably best as western brewing as it is stronger in most regards whereas the long green is a bit more delicate like the jackfruit scented green I had before.

The durian scenting takes place over 14 days and is only scented.
