Winter harvest for Taiwanese oolong is known to be the best and I had to grab at least one, but this year I had two come up to hit the shop.
First off, more of a standard and my favorite: ShanLinXi
but then I tried some of the Pear Mountain (Lishan) from the winter harvest and it was better than my favorite area... so I had to pick some up. There's a backend of juiciness and fruit notes.

An excellent example of a "greener" oolong. Very fresh, floral, and slightly grassy. On the subtler end, but very good.

Smells nice and early infusions are really greedy oolong flavor. Towards the end of the session it picks up an interesting tasting note that was unexpected and reminds me of savory meat.
