Sweet Lamentations , Taiwanese Roasted Oolong 40g

Sorry, this item has sold.

WOOHOO RESTOCKED!

There is no reason for the naming of this oolong... basically I was just thinking in my head what fits and it had to be sweet but dark, this was the result.

So the story for this oolong goes like this: I really enjoy dark roast but I don't want it to just taste of roast. Similar to the stuffed oolong type teas I've brought in, this has a pronounced sweetness you would not expect. It's also on the darker spectrum when compared to my old favorites like red buffalo or 99% oxidized purple olong.

The unique thing about this oolong is that it's Taiwanese, not Chinese like most of those black looking rolled oolong are found.
Only took since 2015 to finally find someone doing this. I would think it would be easy to enjoy by anyone for the taste profile.

I'm currently working on seeing how it effects me because I've felt stoned when having this before which is odd; but welcomed.

Good cozy tea. Solid demonstration of a high roast oolong. Not my particular favorite but that only has my taste to blame, not the tea!

Exceptional quality, matches description, exceeded expectations. A must-try!

This tea is fascinating. It smells like bread dough, with an earthy element too. The leaves are small, tight and very dark after steeping. Had a bunch of steeps and drank it alone without food so I could focus on the tea alone. My initial brew (as someone new to roasted oolong and an issue with my pot being contaminated) wasn’t great so I contacted Andrew and he was great about giving me suggestions on water temp, etc. When I have it another go it was compelling and easily is up there with some of my fave tea experiences.

Really delicious! At first i brewed it gongfu then tossed the spent leaves into a mug for some lazy mug brewing. It really has legs! Ill be ordering more!

Did not like at all. Probably my least favorite out the lot. I'd been better off flushing $100+ down the drain. Bad smell & taste, surely not worth the prices
