For starters, I'm not advocating that anyone buy one of these. This is a very small gaiwan that holds 40ml of water with no leaf in it. Once leaf is added it's less.
These are small. They take time to learn how to press the leaf with the lid to pour and not the bottom because the lid touches the bottom porcelain which stops the flow.
They are thin so the heat is brutal.
Cute with a cost. I've been putting dancong to the rim and having STRONG 1 cup brews for fun with these lately.

Not a great beginner's gaiwan but Andrew describes it very well in terms of what to expect. I think it's fun and gorgeous.
